The ASPCA

ASPCA Rescue Team

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA) was the first humane society established in North America. Today, they're one of the largest in the world with over 1 million supporters across the country. The ASPCA was founded by Henry Bergh in 1866 "to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States."

One of the ASPCA's main priorities is helping you care for your animal companion. As part of this goal, they're committed to helping you pay for your pet's veterinary care with affordable pet insurance. With ASPCA Pet Health Insurance, you can avoid a cruel choice between your pet and your finances.

The ASPCA offers many other valuable resources for pet parents. For instance, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center can help you if your pet ever ingests something poisonous. They've also established the ASPCA Animal Behavior Center, Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital, mobile spay/neuter clinics, and pet loss support services.

In addition, the ASPCA is dedicated to helping at-risk animals with programs like ASPCA® Misson: OrangeTM, which is working to put an end to the unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable pets. They also serve the victims of animal cruelty by fighting tirelessly on state and national levels to pass laws that protect animals.
